Years ago I found myself filming my kids doing ordinary things and then turning the footage into some pretty cool mini-movies, I just wanted to capture "everything" they did, especially when they were quite small. Looking back at my technique, or lack of, I have to laugh, but really that’s where my passion for filmmaking started. Fast forward a few years and now my focus is on capturing and creating unique short films of life’s most amazing moments. Connecting with couples and being able to re-tell their wedding day story in a uniqe way is inspiring. I love the fact that at most of our weddings we show a ‘Same Day Experience’. The adrenalin rush of having to shoot, edit and show the wedding day at the reception is amazing and only topped by the feeling of watching the reactions of the couple, their family and friends.

I am excited about technology and the new tools that we have at our disposal which add depth, dimension and excitement to our short films. The beauty of HD DSLR cameras, sliders and my newest toy, the Steadicam , allow us to create feature films with the look and feel of a major motion picture.

If you asked me as a recent film school grad "What is the one tool you could not do without?" I would have said a camera. Now, I cannot live without a team that inspires me and pushes me to go further. That team is Studio 67.

Technically, I get excited by fast lenses and smooth movement, but creatively, I am inspired by telling stories in a way that they haven’t been told before. When I was a teenager I read screenplays and wrote out scene descriptions on index cards. I would re-arrange the cards trying to find out what the writers did to make each screenplay work. I was desperate to find the "secret" that my favourite screenwriters knew.

Now things are different. Instead of trying to mimic the rules created by storytellers that I respect, I create my own rules. The first: to tell the story in a way that no one esle has told it before. Your story is a one of a kind and deserves to be treated in a way that reflects it’s uniqueness.

I absolutely love being behind the lens and capturing unexpected moments.

I am inspired by LOVE - and capturing the emotion between people who love each other. I am also inspired daily by my three daughters, b, nature and by music.

As a mother, wife, sister, daughter and friend I find joy in the simplest things and absolutely love meeting new clients, forming friendships with our couples and giving back precious memories of time-stopping moments. I believe the smallest details are usually the most significant. There is nothing better than having a parent or grandparent hug me at the wedding reception and thank me for capturing such a memorable day.

I also love photographing family and baby sessions.
